Just a bunch – and happy St Patrick’s Day

Yesterday the sun shone and it didn’t rain. So I picked some ‘Love you More’ daffs, some purple anemones and some freesias (from the greenhouse).

The freesias are grown from seed, sown last August. They have struggled with some awful compost, which delayed development and I have not heated the greenhouse, so they are a bit late because of that. The corms will be dried off, after flowering, and I should get better flowers next year. But most are sending up at least a few flowers on thin stems, others are better, and the few that have flowered so far (there are lots more to come) smell lovely.
