Sunday Puzzler: 15th October

Here is today’s post in a new series of Sunday Puzzlers!Once again, take the first letter of the genus of the plants below but now we are looking for apple varieties. These are apples I am planting in the garden, down the drive. Some are old Irish apples while some are modern – I will explain why I picked them when I give the answer tomorrow.

There is a photo of the apple below and a clue about the apple to help! Good luck, and the answer will be given tomorrow as usual if no one guesses.

Don’t scroll down too far if you don’t want to see other people’s guesses, which will probably give it away!

The apple is from Cavan (it is part of the name)
