There was a break in the weather on Saturday so I dashed to Mount Congreve in the hope that I would catch the Magnolia campbellii in bloom. The garden has probably the best collection of these remarkable trees in the world and I missed them last year. They flower so early that the weather can play havoc with them and this year it has been windy, wet and even frosty so I knew I was not going to see them at their best. But even so they were spectacular. I have written about the garden enough in the past so I will let the photos do the talking but in case you need more information this is a past post:
A few other things apart from magnolias.

This was just a humble pansy (viola). Well done if you got it right.
