Meet Mia
You may remember that we lost our cat a few weeks ago. Well, a house is not a home without a cat so we had to get another. We decided to get something different this time, having always adopted and rehomed cats in the past. As it turns out, although we went to a breeder, Mia is a rehomed cat since the previous owners had to emigrate and leave her.
Mia is a 15 month old Savannah cat. These are a bit controversial because they are cross between a wild African cat (a Serval) and a domestic cat. We did some web searching and most of what you read about them is not positive. To precis, they are a handful. But it all depends on how much Serval is in the mix. F1 hybrids ARE a handful because they are 50% Serval. Mia is an F5 so mostly cat. But she is sleek, has longer back legs than front and a slim face with big ears, and she is a spotted tabby with lovely stripes on her face.
But what we did not expect is how small she is. She was very nervous at first but, after six days, she is starting to wander round confidently, and is showing that she is very gentle and loving and adores having her tummy rubbed. She is going to be a sweetheart. Now that she is getting braver I finally managed to take a few photos – not great yet but we will both get braver!

She’s a little cutie! Like a flashier tabby. I see she has ‘the mark of mohammed’ on her forehead – supposedly where mohammed touched the cat in blessing.
I did not know that!
I’m sure she will be the light of your life in no time and lucky to find such a good home.
