There is so much to see at the show so here are some random views. Having to work most of the day means I missed lots and I was moved on from the Show Gardens by a TV camera drone (more on the gardens tomorrow). So this is a random selection of sights from the show.
…including on this rather scary-looking horse
The Flavourfresh stand demonstrated the range of toms they grow. They are local to the show and grow premium toms for supermarkets. The theme for the show was Rio and their stand had an obvious ‘World Cup’ theme. The green toms kept ripening and had to be amended daily to keep the pitch green.
They had some delicious-looking varieties
The amateur competition is always worth a look
The Grand Marquee was packed with exhibits including ivies, begonias and pelargoniums from Fibrex…
Fuchsias from CK Lockyer…
and Roualeyn Fuchsias…
Mammoth (and unusual) veg from Robinsons…
Chrysanthemums from Chrysanthemums Direct …
Herbaceous plants from Holden Clough…
and begonias and streptocarpus from Dibleys
There were signs of Rio everywhere…
while outside you could eat kippers…
watch ‘thrill’ acts…
watch Inch perfect trials ( I only saw them setting up) …
