Growing sweet peas: June update
Not everything in the garden is rosy – there are other flowers too and I am pleased to report that the sweet peas are doing ok. I am going along the rows and supporting the stems with wire rings and removing tendrils once a week. The reward is long, strong stems supporting the fragrant blooms. The plants are about 1m high now and most have started to bloom.
There are 50 plants and about 12 varieties. There was some bud drop at first but most plants have got over that now.
