As expected, the flowers on this beautifully foliaged tulip suggest that it is a sport of ‘Red Riding Hood’. The flowers are slightly angular, as is common in Greigii tulips, and bright red. I am not sure now whether having the red flowers on such a concoction of foliage is a bit too much. I think it is a keeper but I think it needs a very simple background and I will save the bulbs and make sure I put them with something simple next year!
