Begonia carolineifolia: update
It was 15 months ago that I posted about this begonia which was newly acquired and was doing well. I am glad to report that this exotic and very different Mexican species has done well on my west-facing windowsill and the other day I noticed flower buds coming. To reward it I repotted it so it can make some good stem growth this year.
It is starting to grow skywards and although it is still a baby I can see the potential. And those pink flowers, though hardly as impressive as the foliage, are a pretty bonus – till I have to vacuum them up off the carpet!
